ELVIS PRESLEY POSING WITH HIS ELVIS IMPERSONATOR

I had so much creating this floral design piece mimicking Elvis Presley with record albums, river cane, gems, white shoes, and even his dark black hair using pampas grass. The children during the evening had so much fun playing around with his hair and shoes. Each time you would come out they were positioned in a different way.

This was another AWESOME piece of the evening that I created. Even the light on top brought attention to people. Folks and children enjoyed helping themselves to the chocolate coins that were part of the jackpot display. By the end of the evening they were all gone!

Two beautiful floral arrangements were displayed in the entry of the gymnasium. They actually look like dancing ladies. What do you think?

Lots of work went into making 30 of these beautiful dancing arrangements but not without they many thankful volunteer hands that came to make this evening beautiful! A big shout out 'THANK YOU' to Kim, Emma, Annie, Rosa, Helen, Vicki, Katerina, and Eleni.

Mother's Day at the Filoli Flower Show

Celebrating Mother’s Day Weekend
at the Filoli Flower Show

 May 10 – Sunday, May 13, 2012

“The Secret Garden, Discover The Magic” is the theme for this year’s show.

More than 75 floral exhibits and garden vignettes were on display in the House and Garden including beautiful table settings from talented Bay Area Floral designers. My floral design express the outdoor garden with the variety of flowers, the chair, the faucet with running water and a bird perched on the side of the chair.

Mimicking the running water I used strands of crystals cascading down the arrangement.

I certainly left no detail left undone. This handmade bird including the nest was made from magnolia buds, pussywillow blossoms, grevallia, and olive leaves. The birds nest was made out of angel vine.

Here is my display in the cafeteria for everyone to enjoy!

REUSE AND RECYCLE

A client called and asked if I would reuse her traditional mercury glass containers and wanted the floral pieces to be festive, yet minimal for her holiday dining table. Aren't these lovely?
